Writing and Business Goals for June 2017

June Goals Post

I’m happy to say that May was a very productive month for me. I accomplished 7 out of 9 goals, and can hardly get over my bad ass self.  (high five)

May goals:

  1. Set up an account with Google+ Done
  2. Convert my personal Pinterest account into a business account Done
  3. Go through existing boards and rename, remove, or add to, if applicable Done
  4. Create an editorial calendar Done
  5. Research the app Later for Instagram Done
    • In comparing Later with Buffer, I felt at this time that Buffer suited me better for scheduling Instagram and Facebook posts ahead of time. However, Later has an awesome Instagram analytics tool, which is free of charge, that I am using and loving
  6. Research the apps Buffer, a scheduling tool, and Trello, an organizational tool Done
    • Buffer has 6 payment options and luckily, the free version is perfect for my current needs. I can set up to 10 Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest posts, (these are the only social media I use) for planning ahead. But my favorite thing about this app, is for Instagram I am able to add my photo, descriptions, and hashtags all at once. When it’s ready to post, Buffer sends me a notification, I give the approval, and it automatically copies all text, so I only have to paste it. This one app has saved me a lot time.
    • Trello was not something I need at this time
  7. Send beta readers manuscript and review their comments – Not done
  8. Complete the book sales description/back cover blurb – Done
  9. List book categories and keywords for publishing – Not done

Since I didn’t complete # 7 and 9, I moved them to my June goals.

June Goals:

  1. Send beta readers manuscript and review their comments
  2. List book categories and keywords for publishing because I am so freaking close I can hardly contain myself
  3. Research ebook pricing
  4. Get website/blog live by the end of this month
  5. Introduce Have Spirit Will Travel on Facebook
  6. Create an analytics spreadsheet
  7. Spend time assessing the analytics on Instagram, Pinterest, and Facebook
  8. Link all social media
  9. Work on book two of the Skyler Sullivan series

Wish me luck!
